Growing up in Newnan, Georgia, and graduating from Northgate High School, sports played a significant role in my life, especially with brothers around. I discovered CrossFit in 2013, got my level-1, and opened CrossFit Higher Ground in 2016. I embraced the chance to learn and grow, there was no fear. I saw it through, and kept my faith in that belief, (expressing gratitude to those who’ve supported me throughout my journey). With a CrossFit level-2 and a degree in exercise science, I’m passionate about human movement. I love outdoor activities like camping, playing pickle-ball, and recently completing a half marathon on 1/13. Living an active lifestyle enables me to appreciate the gift of movement, and my aim is to also help others recognize their capabilities!!
I grew up in Buford, Ga, I lived there for over 20 years! I moved to Newnan to be closer to YOU! Kidding aside, I moved here so I could marry the love of my life, Cole Payton (he’s a big deal at CFHG)! I was a competitive gymnast for 10 years, competed in Allstar Cheerleading for 3 years, and then found CrossFit. I competed in CrossFit for about 4 years and then made the swap to competitive Oly Lifting. I had the privilege to work under 4 different weightlifting teams over the years and learn a lot in those
Lifts! I competed Nationally, from Miami all the way to Milwaukee! I also worked with the CrossFit Seminar staff in CrossFit Gymnastics, all while coaching competitive gymnastics for about 7 years.
I absolutely love helping people feel CONFIDENT and learn to love the gym! I can guarantee any class you take, we are going to laugh and have fun, all while MOVING GREAT! The CrossFit community has changed my life and I love to give back in any way I can!! Whether it’s a small heart to heart or mechanical cue , I’m always here to help YOU!
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I embarked on my fitness journey in 2013, diving into the world of CrossFit. Over the past decade, I've honed my skills and dedication, earning certifications such as CrossFit Level One and CrossFit Mobility. As a former US Army Infantry Captain, I seamlessly integrated CrossFit into my active duty preparation, leveraging its benefits for peak physical performance.
My commitment extends to the competitive arena, with valuable experience in CrossFit competitions. Rooted in a passion for helping others, I channel my enthusiasm to assist individuals in achieving their fitness goals. With a diverse sporting background from my youth, my journey reflects a blend of discipline, athleticism, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
I grew up in Newnan, Ga. and graduated from UGA with a degree in Public Relations and minor in French and Business. Fitness is a passion of mine and has been all my life. I have a background in a variety of sports starting with 9 years in gymnastics (a state champion at a lower level), moved to high school swimming where I broke numerous school records and went to state, and then began doing CrossFit in my later years of high school. Outside the gym, I enjoy anything outdoors including hiking and water sports. I just all around love being active!
As a coach, I believe every athlete deserves the same time and attention, despite years in the gym. Whether new or experienced, attention to detail leads to injury prevention. After being a part 6 different CrossFit gyms in Athens, study abroad in France, and here in Newnan, I have seen what great coaching looks like and strive to emulate these qualities in my classes and coaching style!!
My introduction into the sport of CrossFit started in Birmingham, Alabama at OTM Fitness. I looked for an avenue to be able to compete and challenge myself after a career in college track and field. With this new found passion, I was fortunate enough to earn my CrossFit Level One. CrossFit has given me the tools to impact others, build my fitness goals, and most importantly gain a community.
I grew up in Sharpsburg, GA, and I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a major in finance. Growing up I always enjoyed being active and outside, but I wasn’t involved in any organized sports. In 2020, I started running, but I quickly got bored. Having heard about CrossFit for many years, I walked into a local affiliate, and I was hooked. After my first workout, I was so sore and wasn’t sure I would be able to drive home. The constant variety within CrossFit kept it very engaging. 4 years in, and I still am challenged to keep improving as an athlete.
In December of 2023, I was able to earn my CrossFIt Level 1 certificate, and I am so blessed to be able to help other athletes in their health and fitness journey. I have seen first hand how the changes that are done in the gym can help transform people’s lives. I love to help others achieve their goals. Outside of the gym, I enjoy being active, doing anything at a lake, and spending time with friends and family and my church. I also enjoy being able to find new ways to challenge myself through triathlons or other competitions and races.
